Mathematics B.Sc.
Graduates of the B.Sc. in Mathematics program will be prepared to:

  • Work successfully in a career related to mathematics.
  • Pursue a graduate program in mathematics or a related field.

Mathematics B.Sc.
Upon graduation, an UOB graduate in mathematics should be able to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of core areas of mathematics; statistics and basic sciences.
  • Use logical reasoning, formal proof, generalization and abstraction.
  • Apply mathematics to real life problems by formulating and solving them and interpreting their solutions.
  • Employ different mathematical concepts in solving a wide range of problems within mathematics.
  • Identify the relationship between mathematics and other disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively within practice.
  • Integrate technology in solving and understanding mathematical and scientific problems.
  • Understand ethics, responsibility, legal and social issues within professional practice.
  • Perform basic scientific research.
  • Pursue mathematical lifelong learning through continuous professional development.
